Rock95 approached us a while back to help create a new brand campaign to generate a general awareness of Rock95. They came to us with a tagline and a clean slate, trusting we'd come up with appropriate imagery to compliment the text. With only a split second to capture and hold a viewers attention, we felt the emphasis should be on simple and clever.
After a nice long brief we set to work developing three original concepts all different but similar in theme. We presented the three concepts to the Rock95 Marketing Manager. He was so pleased that he approved a concept on the spot. The approved concept featured a business man ripping open his shirt to reveal his Rock95 graphic tee underneath. The graphic ran as a billboard ad all across the city and was also applied to bus graphics, newspaper ads and as auxiliary promotional materials such as stickers. The campaign was such a success that Rock95 ran it again the following year.
The designers were given full creative licence to come up with the appropriate imagery and the end result proved successful. The project followed all the design and creative steps from ideation, concept development to final product. As a result, Rock95 received a product that was eye catching, concise and had the legs to get multiple uses.
