New Dog Care Facility in Barrie

Recently, we had the pleasure of working with Kim Moffat from Ruff Haus who opened up a new dog facility offering daycare, grooming and training. Kim approached us looking to develop a brand identity that would set the mood for the facility and follow through on to her business cards, literature and website.

During our initial client meeting, she told us they were adamant that the logo and brand identity look high-end but not pretentious. They wanted a simple and clean design with a clever concept.

After reviewing our meeting information, some extensive research and a number of concept sketches, they were presented with three different concepts. They were immediately drawn to the first design. The concept utilizes the companies initials to suggest a dog bone. The 'H' was given thick serifs to help complete the 'R' and to suggest the shape of the bone. The fonts solid stroke weight and height complimented the icons vertical proportions.

After minor tweaks and the application of their branded colours, they were presented with the final product and were extremely happy with the end result of their logo. Applying their logo and brand identity to business cards, stationery, signage and a content managable website was a rewarding project because it all came together so strong and visual.

The end result was a new business with a unique and original brand identity that will not be mistaken for any of their competition.
