Rock95 approached us a while back to help create a new brand campaign to generate a general awareness of Rock95. They came to us with a tagline and a clean slate, trusting we'd come up with appropriate imagery to compliment the text. With only a split second to capture and hold a viewers attention, we felt the emphasis should be on simple and clever.

After a nice long brief we set to work developing three original concepts all different but similar in theme. We presented the three concepts to the Rock95 Marketing Manager. He was so pleased that he approved a concept on the spot. The approved concept featured a business man ripping open his shirt to reveal his Rock95 graphic tee underneath. The graphic ran as a billboard ad all across the city and was also applied to bus graphics, newspaper ads and as auxiliary promotional materials such as stickers. The campaign was such a success that Rock95 ran it again the following year.

The designers were given full creative licence to come up with the appropriate imagery and the end result proved successful. The project followed all the design and creative steps from ideation, concept development to final product. As a result, Rock95 received a product that was eye catching, concise and had the legs to get multiple uses.

Recently, we had the pleasure of working with Kim Moffat from Ruff Haus who opened up a new dog facility offering daycare, grooming and training. Kim approached us looking to develop a brand identity that would set the mood for the facility and follow through on to her business cards, literature and website.

During our initial client meeting, she told us they were adamant that the logo and brand identity look high-end but not pretentious. They wanted a simple and clean design with a clever concept.

After reviewing our meeting information, some extensive research and a number of concept sketches, they were presented with three different concepts. They were immediately drawn to the first design. The concept utilizes the companies initials to suggest a dog bone. The 'H' was given thick serifs to help complete the 'R' and to suggest the shape of the bone. The fonts solid stroke weight and height complimented the icons vertical proportions.

After minor tweaks and the application of their branded colours, they were presented with the final product and were extremely happy with the end result of their logo. Applying their logo and brand identity to business cards, stationery, signage and a content managable website was a rewarding project because it all came together so strong and visual.

The end result was a new business with a unique and original brand identity that will not be mistaken for any of their competition.

Rock 95 took their annual Birthday Bash to a whole new level! They teamed up with Pratt Homes and created a campaign to give away a home at the Bash as the grand prize! A congratulations go out to all the winners of the night, especially to Mike Turney and his wife Karla who walked away as new condo owners.

This year's bash design was quite simple. We wanted to let everyone know they were giving away a home and if that didn't turn heads…. what would? So we used simple, easy to manipulate imagery and applied it to bench ads, bus ads and billboards throughout the city along with newspaper ads, website graphics and outdoor large-format banners that hung directly to the condo bricks. We are sure if you were in the Barrie area, you know exactly what we are referring to, as it was everywhere!

As usual, it's been a pleasure working with Rock 95 and we are looking forward to the next Birthday Bash to see what Rock 95 has in store!!!

When Nikki Glahn approached ICONIC design with her vision, we thought she was one of the most ambitious and focused clients we had ever met. To develop a line of products that teach children basic lifelong lessons on love, friendship and caring through interactive products; products that will engage the family in conversations that might not naturally occur in their daily, hectic lives, but plays an important role in raising well-balanced, empathetic children.

The first project that Nikki wanted to launch was an Advent calendar that counted the days to Christmas morning with fun and interactive events and games, as opposed to your standard chocolate treat. Something that will give the family a different type of fun, and an opportunity to spend quality family time over the holidays. When children are experiencing the excitement of receiving gifts, they are also reminded of the amazing feelings of GIVING gifts too.

ICONIC worked with Nikki on developing her logo, and business cards and letterhead in order to help her launch her business. From there we began the design of the advent calendar. We designed a mini-calendar for initial product awareness and the large final calendar piece that Nikki is selling through word-of-mouth and online advertising. Nikki's website was then developed with extensive custom programming that allowed her to give password access to people who bought the calendar.

Christmas is coming up again and Nikki is selling her creative Advent Calendar online again. If anyone is looking for that holiday experience to share with children and families that you know… this is the answer! Be sure to order your calendar in time to have delivered to you by December 1st!
