Shanna graduated the 3 year Graphic Design Diploma Program at Georgian College in Barrie, in 2001 with honours. Since that time, she has gathered her knowledge and developed her skills as a Graphic Designer. Spending one year covering a mat leave position at a local newspaper, to being hired by a Graphic Design and Advertising firm in Barrie, where she spent the following 7 years as a Graphic/Web Designer. In 2008, Shanna left her long standing position with the firm to join forces with her husband James, who is also a Graphic Designer and owner of ICONIC design.

Shanna also has a passion for Georgian College in Barrie, having been a student herself. In 2004-2006, Shanna taught the Portfolio Development course for Interior Design students, and has also taught Photoshop night classes from 2005 to 2009. Shanna speaks to students about the importance of Graphic Design as often as possible and is a current member of the Advisory Committee for the Graphic Design program.

Working with local Ontario businesses and keeping one foot in the education system has been very fulfilling. Her passion for design continues to grow and she is excited to be a part of the industry at a time where technology is changing constantly. The growth of the internet over the past decade has made this career choice an exciting and ever-changing one. Moving forward, Shanna is excited to see what new technology will be influencing design and marketing – knowing that there will ALWAYS be a need for businesses to look good, and be branded well.
